The overall impact is that Karen has pointed me in a direction which is right for me to achieve my objective of losing a couple of stones in weight both for health and happiness reasons. I have lost some weight with more to go but I feel that I now have Karen “sat on my shoulder” which is continuing to keep me motivated. Karen has invested her time in me providing encouragement and support whilst celebrating my progress along the way.
I want to make the most of this opportunity to achieve the desired weight loss. This is being led by the introduction of small actions which we have discussed. Karen has given me the freedom to make my own decisions on what needs to change, whilst asking open-ended questions, listening and preparing me for the change.
Over the years, I have tried to lose weight (noting that I am aware of what is required) but I have not been successful. A health scare at the beginning of this year has galvanised me into taking the weight loss seriously and going down the coaching route – an avenue which I have not explored before.
With the openness and empathy of Karen and her impeccable coaching skills, I am re-programming my mindset.
Throughout this journey, Karen’s coaching skills have been built on trust and a good rapport which Karen has provided in a non-judgemental space. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with Karen and intend to keep in touch and let her know how the weight loss is progressing. This will also help me with accountability to meet my desired outcome.
